Created in 2023, the Investment Fund for the Prevention of Occupational Wear and Tear is now operational!
In a society where MSDs represent more than 87% of occupational diseases recognized each year, this fund aims to strengthen the preservation of the health of professionals by reducing the risks linked to physical constraints.
The Commission for Work Accidents and Occupational Diseases (CAT-PMP) which manages this fund hopes to combat professional disinsertion.
The FIPU concerns 3 so-called “ergonomic” risk factors:
– Manual handling of loads
– Difficult postures (defined as forced positions of the joints)
– Mechanical vibrations
It targets employees who are particularly affected in their professional environment by relying on a map of the professions and activities that are most exposed to them. For 2024, the CAT/MP informs us that “while waiting for the lists that the professional branches will provide, [it has chosen] to rely on an indicator of professional wear and tear grouping together musculoskeletal disorders and lower back pain“.
Since March 2024, any company covered by the general scheme, as well as self-employed workers who have subscribed to voluntary insurance against accidents at work, can thus apply for subsidies from their AT-MP account on net-entreprises.fr.
The CAT-MP is partnering with France Compétences to enable employees exposed to ergonomic risk factors to carry out a professional transition project.
The fund is also aimed at prevention organizations in professional branches to enable them to develop prevention actions in their sector. To date, the OPPBTP is the only one to benefit from an allocation for 2024.
Within the framework of the FIPU, subsidies can participate in the financing of:
– awareness-raising actions
– equipment, diagnostics or training
– workstation adjustments
– personnel costs dedicated to the implementation of actions financed by the fund
